It's a fact! Hovig will be representing Cyprus in Kyiv 2017. This makes the cypriot country the first one to introduce its artist for the 62nd edition of the contest.
About the artist
Aged 27, Hovig has an armenian origin and also participated in the greek format of the X Factor in 2009, coinciding with Ivi Adamou, the girl who represented Cyprus in Baku 2012 with her song La La Love. He took part in the cypriot national selection of 2010 and 2015 too.

The public TV broadcaster of Cyprus, CyBC, is about to release the song in a later date. The only revealed details about the song are about the composer, Thomas G:son, well-known among the ESC World for creating songs of several countries on the contest; Midnight Gold (Georgia, 2016), Amanecer (Spain 2015), and the 2012 winning song, Loreen's Euphoria.
